Interface (MJC) Ltd. was formed at the start of 1997 by Mike Crabtree, formalising the sole-tradership that Mike had been operating under since 1989.

Mike has over 25 years of experience within the IT industry, having worked for a variety of firms, but always concentrating on PC’s and networking. During that time he has accumulated a wealth of experience with Desktop and Network Operating systems, especially with Novell NetWare, Microsoft Windows and Windows NT. Mike has received a degree of world-wide recognition in the computer support arena and was both a former Microsoft MVP and a former Novell NetWire Sysop.

Long term clients include BP Rolls Ltd. and The John Lewis Partnership (including Waitrose). IMJC also has long term relationships with a number of local computer firms.

Although vast improvements in the usability of software and systems, even network operating systems, is taking place, this is to a large extent offset by the ever increasing complexity and variety of systems on the market today. Interface (MJC) Ltd. was formed with the goal of providing firms of all sizes an independent consultancy service allowing them to maximise their available IT resources, and in particular to plan ahead and ease the implementation of today’s and tomorrow’s’ IT systems.

Specifically, Interface (MJC) Ltd. can offer the following services:

Migration - considerable experience in the area of migrating entire firms from one network operating system to another, or in upgrading of network operating systems, with a proven track record of undertaking such migrations on 24x7 systems with minimal disruption.

Installation - complete specification and commissioning service, including LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Troubleshooting - recognised by both Novell and Microsoft as able to provide a valuable service to their customers.

Consultancy - we can tell you the way to go and we’ll work with your existing vendors and suppliers. We can also ensure that your existing partners are providing you with value for money.

Support - we can undertake periodic preventative maintenance, and provide mission critical support for firms in the UK South Coast area.

Security - we can undertake security audits. Security is increasingly a major concern for many companies.

Mike Crabtree is a Novell Master CNE, CNE-3, CNE-4, CNE-5 (and ECNE) as well as being a Microsoft MCSE (Systems Engineer) and holding MCP in various products. Also a former Microsoft Certified Trainer. More recent qualifications include Compaq ASE and approval from UK government's CESG to conduct security audits as Team Leader for CHECK approved firms.
